The Role: General Manager
As the General Manager, you will be at the helm of our Woodridge branch, orchestrating a symphony of operations, sales, and strategic initiatives.

- Strategic Leadership: Manage all facets of the branch, including Sales, Operations, HR, and Financial objectives.
- Innovative Planning: Develop and execute plans to enhance sales and operational efficiency, presenting compelling proposals to the leadership team.
- Problem Resolution: Navigate complex business challenges, offering insightful solutions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Team Empowerment: Lead and develop a proficient team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Warehouse Excellence: Oversee the overall productivity of warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Business Development: Expand our customer base by cultivating relationships within the retail grocery and food service sectors.
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain key external relationships in alignment with the company’s objectives.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor daily financial information, ensuring the branch’s financial health through budget management and sales optimization.
Requirements:
- 21 years of age or older
- Minimum 2 years of General Management experience (grocery packaging sales preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with financial statements
- Must live in the Woodridge, IL market area
College Degree in Business Management, Finance, Public Accounting, or 5+ years of Sales Management experience in the Grocery Industry
- Proven ability to identify and pursue sales opportunities strategically.
- Superior knowledge of food service packaging and general supplies business.
- Financial acumen to understand corporate profitability and maximize sales through GVH program offerings.
- Proficiency in computer skills and business software
- Competitive base compensation starting at $75,000 per year, with additional bonus incentives.
