GVH Distribution is seeking a motivated and leadership-driven Warehouse Manager in Humble, TX! This experienced warehouse professional will oversee day-to-day operations in our warehouse and focuses on maintaining efficiency, safety, and compliance while driving employee performance and exceeding customer expectations. What We Offer:

• Annual Salary: $62,400
• Full-Time Position: Monday through Friday, day shift starting at 7:00 a.m.

The warehouse manager will be responsible for overseeing all employees and duties of the warehouse, not limited to receiving, replenishment, cycle counting, and order selecting. Other warehouse management duties include:

• Sending weekly update emails to GM
• Monthly variance reporting
• Maintaining project files
• Hire, train, and maintain a full staff of employees that meet or exceed expectation
• Ensuring that all paperwork (BOLs, manifests, load guides, audit sheets, OSHA checklists, etc.) are sent to the appropriate recipients

• Attending the bi-weekly Warehouse Manager’s meeting
• Conducting weekly Receiving Meeting with Admin and Receiver
• Administering guidance, counseling, and disciplinary action if necessary
• Checking warehouse supply inventory levels (labels, paper for invoices, pallets, pallet wrap, etc.)
• Evaluating the state of the warehouse equipment weekly
• Other duties as required by management

In addition to overseeing the functions of the warehouse, the warehouse manager may be required to perform some of the following duties as well.

General Receiving Duties:

• Coordinate inbound trucks
• Oversee purchase order calendar
• Properly put away products on designated shelves
• Replenish the primary stock locations in a safe and efficient manner
• Designate dock locations for inbound carriers
• Ensure that the correct product and quantities are received
• If necessary “lump” products onto pallets
• Perform “slot replenishment” and
• Perform “down stacking” on a daily basis
• Perform periodic cycle counts per supervisor discretion
• Perform various cleaning duties as directed by supervisor
• Follow all safety policies

General Order Selecting Duties:

• Select customer orders using pick lists.
• Must be able to drive a pallet jack.
• Validate that the correct product has been pulled and is damage free.
• Deliver pallets to correct dock area, stack items on pallets according to supervisor direction and shrink wrap pallets.
• Conduct trailer inspection before loading to assure that the trailer is clean and ready for loading.
• Loads trailer and complete necessary manifesting paperwork.
• Performs various cleaning duties as directed by supervisor.
• Complete any necessary paperwork as designated by supervisor.
• Complete Safety Training Sign Off Form within 2 business days of your hire date.
• Follow and comprehend all safety policies.

  • 2 years of warehouse experience
  • 2 years of forklift experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and very physically active at all times during work shift
