Warehouse Receiver

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely receiving of inventory. – Coordinate inbound trucks and designate dock locations for inbound carriers
– Oversee purchase order calendar
– Preparing for inbound orders by preparing slots and paperwork
– Receive and inspect incoming shipments of materials and supplies
– Use a reach truck, pallet jack, and other equipment to load and unload trucks
– Verify the accuracy of shipments by checking quantities and matching them to purchase orders
– If necessary, “lump” products onto pallets
– Enter data into the MRP system to update inventory records
– Cross train with co-workers in the warehouse in preparation to aid in the including, but not limited to, functions when requested by supervisor: receiving, order selecting, label sorting, cross docking process, cycle counting/inventory, etc.
– Perform periodic cycle counts per supervisor discretion
– Perform “slot replenishment” and “down stacking” on a daily basis
– Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate inventory counts
– Maintain a clean and organized receiving area

– Previous experience as a receiver or in a similar role preferred
– Familiarity with using a forklift, reach truck, electric pallet jack, and RF scanner
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

– Basic math skills for counting and verifying inventory

– Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) on a regular basis

– Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory and order picking
