We’re on the lookout for a motivated Outside Sales Account Manager to cover the Memphis, TN area and surrounding markets, focusing on AWG grocery retailers. As a pivotal member of our team, you’ll forge strong connections with our valued customers, fostering growth and delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Grow an existing book of business and sell our program to new accounts within the AWG membership.
  • Provide solutions for grocery stores and food processors on their packaging and supplies needs.
  • Work with a collaborative team to reach sales goals and stay abreast of industry changes and product introductions.
  • Maintain an accurate customer account list, and engage in regular contact with customers in your assigned territory through in-person meetings, phone calls, and emails, establishing strong rapport and becoming the primary point of contact.
  • Actively pursue new accounts, identify opportunities, and diligently follow up with contacts.
  • Conduct weekly pre-planning and provide recaps of customer visits.
  • Maintain or exceed assigned sales volume and profit margin, and keep up to date with changes in the industry.
  • Provide assistance in the formulation and implementation of marketing and sales strategies.
  • Help to develop and execute strategic sales plans, promoting the full range of company products and services.
  • Proven experience in sales or account management role
  • Prior grocery or convenience store sales a plus
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and close deals
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Merchandising: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Account management: 1 year (Required)
  • Driver’s License (Required)
